The Wednesfield Burial Ground Project will be at Wednesfield Local History Day on Saturday 2nd August 2025, 10am – 4pm at Bethany Chapel (on the corner of Blackwood Avenue and Lower Prestwood Road). You can find us in the hall to the left of the entrance.

Pop along to read the Stories from the Stones, browse our table top exhibition about the history of the burial ground and see our work to date on the new Victorian Paper Theatre depicting an imagined view of the long lost chapel from what would have been the cemetery gates. We’d love to hear your memories of the burial ground, surrounding streets and businesses.

The history day is hosted by Wednesfield History Society and includes:
